Boss, known as Shylock (Mammootty), is a tough moneylender in Kerala’s film industry. He lends money to shady producer Prathapa Varma (Kalabhavan Shajohn) for a movie, but Varma refuses to repay and mocks him. Boss gets angry and kidnaps the film’s director to pressure Varma. Varma teams up with corrupt Police Commissioner Felix John (Siddique) to destroy Boss. However, Boss, once called Devan, has a personal score to settle. Years ago, in a quiet village, young Devan lived happily with his elder brother Ayyanar (Rajkiran), sister-in-law Lakshmi (Meena), and their family. Varma, a powerful and cruel man, wronged their family, causing deep pain and loss that changed Devan’s life. Now, as Boss, he seeks revenge. With his loyal friends Balakrishna Panicker and Ganapathy, Boss cleverly ruins Varma’s schemes, helping struggling producers cheated by him. As Felix tightens the police net, Boss stays one step ahead, using tricks to expose Varma’s crimes. In one instance, Ayyanar kills Felix to protect the family, and Boss defeats Varma, ending his domination. With justice served, Boss continues his moneylending business, staying loyal to his bold ways. He ensures his family’s honour is restored, ruling his world with cunning and strength alongside his trusted friends. Shylock is a good film you can enjoy with your family.
