Seetamma Vakitilo Sirimalle Chettu is a story set up in a small village called Relangi. The story revolves around the loving family of Relangi Mavaiya (Prakash Raj). He believes in spreading smiles and helping others. He respects human values and relationships. (Jayasudha) His wife and two sons, Peddodu (Venky) and Chinnodu (Mahesh Babu), have different personalities. Peddodu is straightforward, street-smart and not prone to anger. He is waiting for the 'big golden chance' in life. Chinnodu is very intelligent, clever and easy-going. His charm is irresistible to women. He is a conversationalist. Both are unemployed and, as always, face harassment from their villagers and relatives. But their bond is powerful.Meanwhile, Sita (Anjali) is a 'maradalu' to Peddodu who loses her parents when she is young and lives in their house. She likes Peddodu and grows up believing him to be her husband. Relangi Mavaiya's mother, i.e. Sita's maternal grandmother, is also part of the family. Chinnodu and his granny have a hilarious relationship. Chinnodu falls in love with Sita's cousin Geetha (Samantha). But her father (Rao Ramesh) is more practical and believes in wealth and earnings above all else. Difference of opinion creates a gap between the two families.Meanwhile, an incident at the sister's wedding creates turmoil in this family... and stands in the way of their love. The rest of the story is about how this family faces those problems with the only weapon, goodness, and how they achieve happiness by fulfilling their aspirations. Will the men be able to get their love? How different turns occur in their lives shapes the rest of the story.
