Salliyargal is the Telugu version of the Tamil war drama of the same name. The story is about brave doctors during the Tamil Eelam conflict. These doctors are called ""Salliyargal."" The term refers to the medical wing of the liberation movement. The story centers on Dr. Nandhini (Sathyadevi). She is a dedicated doctor working in a secret underground bunker hospital. Even though she has very little food, medicine, or sleep, she works tirelessly to save the people injured in the war. Dr. Sembiyan (Mahendran) joins her later. He comes from a larger hospital. Together, they face many challenges. They treat everyone who is hurt, including fighters and enemies, because they believe in helping all humans. The opposing army begins to target these medical camps to stop them from helping the fighters. These doctors are forced to stay calm and brave even when bombs are exploding nearby. Along with the doctors, other characters like Mathizhayagan (Karunaas) and Thirumurugan help show the pain and strength of the people during the war. The movie is a tribute to the healthcare workers who chose to save lives in the middle of a brutal conflict.
