Sadha (Arjun Das) and Soorya (Tanya Ravichandran) are hurt by their pasts. Sadha is a Siddha doctor in a hill station. Soorya visits the place and starts working as a housekeeping manager at a hotel. Sadha has a physical scar and walks with a limp. The movie later tells us why. He has a lot of emotional pain, too. Besides Sadha, the movie focuses on Soorya, who also has some past trauma and is in emotional distress and a police officer (Sujith Shanker). He also has a traumatic past. Soorya always feels distant. We learn about her job and why she chose it. Sadha and Soorya share a good chemistry. The movie smoothly shifts from their relationship to the police officer's dark tale. This works well. There are a few comic sequences, too. The greatest strength of Rasavathi is its characterisation. The characters are written well, and all the actors have done justice to their roles. They have breathed life into the director's characters. The film mixes romance with a crime story. There is some great acting and some good moments. Arjun Das has given an excellent performance. So does Tanya. The show-stealer is the one who plays the cop, Sujith Shanker. Ramya Subramanyam, Rishikanth, and Reshma Venkatesh are the other supporting actors who have done a decent job. Overall, Rasavathi is a poetic film with a mix of drama, romance, and thrill. It is a must-watch.
