But his heart belongs only to one woman, Devi (Sridevi). Initially, Devi brushed off Rajesh's advances, but over time, his sincerity won her over, and they grew close. Just as Rajesh was ready and starts planning for their future together, tragedy struck. Days before their wedding, Rajesh learns he has terminal cancer, shattering his dreams and leaving him devastated.. He cannot bear the thought of Devi suffering or living a life of sorrow after he is gone. So, Rajesh makes an agonizing decision. He decides to push Devi away from him. He starts acting cruelly and pretends he no longer loves her. Devi is deeply hurt and feels betrayed. On an impulse, she decides to marry Rajesh's close friend Prasad (Murali Mohan). But soon after the wedding, Devi learns about Rajesh's sacrifice and goes to meet him. The film ends with Rajesh blessing the newlyweds.
