Parinayam film has yesteryear stars Sobhana and Suresh Gopi playing key roles along with the young hero Dulquer Salmaan and beautiful Kalyani Priyadarshan as lead stars. Neena, played by Sobhana, is a single mother living with her daughter Nikitha, played by Kalyani Priyadarshan. Neena doesn’t like to remain a housewife and is into various activities to keep herself busy. She works as a French tutor and also takes classical dance classes. Unlike her mother, Nikitha is not interested in a love marriage and decides to get into an arranged marriage. She filters numerous matches through the matrimonial sites and chooses to marry Abhi. A retired major, Chinni Krishna, played by Suresh Gopi, comes to reside in Neena and Nikitha's apartment. Just a few days before his arrival, young man Bibish, played by Dulquer, comes in with his younger brother and granny to reside on the ground floor of the same apartments. Bibibsh has the nickname ‘Fraud’. Neena gets introduced to Chinni Krishna, and slowly, their friendship grows into a liking between them. They come together mentally and emotionally. Nikitha observes all this. Nikitha is unable to digest all this and struggles to decide how to handle it. Mentally disturbed Nikitha also faces a breakup with Abhi. Bibish’s girlfriend also leaves him almost at the same time. Nikitha consoles depressed Bibibsh. She develops a bond with him. The rest of the story is how the relationship between the two couples Neena & Chinni Krishna and Nikitha & Bibish travels and finds a happy ending.
