Oohalu Gusagusalade's movie starts in Hyderabad, where Venky works at UB TV to become a News Anchor like his dad, Bhanu Murthy. Bhanu Murthy left his Job as an Anchor in Doordarshan after a paralysis attack. Venky tried to reach his goal, but Vamana Rao was his tough competitor. He has been an anchor in teleshopping advertising at UB TV for four years. Uday, Venky’s boss, is jealous of him as Venky can freely communicate with girls and becomes an obstacle in Venky’s aim to become an Anchor. After rejecting many marriage proposals, Uday finally agrees to marry a Dentist named Sirisha; he seeks Venky’s help while communicating with Sirisha and takes his suggestions to impress her. Looking at Venky's suggestions, Uday asks Venky about his past love story. Venky narrates his love story; in 2009, he met a Delhi-based girl, Prabha, as both had come there for a summer vacation in Vizag. Prabha was going through a tough time as her parents were getting divorced. Venky and Prabha become good friends, and on Prabha’s Birthday, Venky proposes to her. She replied that she could decide now and be friends until then. Venky got frustrated and yelled at her about Delhi culture. Though he tried to apologize, she later left for Delhi. Uday now meets Sirisha, but she wants to see another guy and choose the best. Uday blackmails and forces Venky to be the second guy and make sure he is wicked, and Sirisha likes Uday.
