Once Upon a Time in Madras tells a story where a single gun passes from person to person, leading to many deaths. These people don't know each other, but they all end up using the same gun to commit murder. Madhi (Anjali Nair) discovers her family is trying to deceive her. Savitri (Abhirami) tries her best to keep her child, Karthi, safe. Raja (Bharath) is desperate for money and becomes a killer. Thalaivasal Vijay plays a father who strongly dislikes his daughter Anitha's (Pavithra Lakshmi) boyfriend and uses violence. This one gun links all of their stories together. The movie isn't so much about figuring out who the killer is but more about exploring the reasons why people choose to kill. It's like a test using a gun to see what happens. Each of the separate stories has surprising twists. Some moments in the movie feel very real. Bharath does a good job; he looks and acts like someone who has lost all hope. Abhirami's acting feels very natural. Thalaivasal Vijay plays the role of a father with old-fashioned beliefs. Anjali Nair does a good job as a wife who feels trapped. All the actors perform their parts well. Overall, Once Upon A Time in Madras is a good movie. It's definitely worth watching.
