The movie starts with a puzzle: a box with a strange doll and numbers is found at the police station. A smart police officer named Ranjith Kalidoss (Arjun) and his helpers Joseph (Prasanna) and Vandana (Varalaxmi) don't know what it means. They soon realize the doll's details are clues from a killer. They try to find the murderer, but more similar killings happen with tricky methods. Slowly, they start to understand the clues. Ranjith figures out who the next person to be killed will be. He has a strong reason to believe it, which surprises his team and bosses. Meanwhile, Ranjith is sick, and it's affecting his work. His wife (Sruthi Hariharan), daughter, and brother (Vaibhav) are there to support him. The killer watches Ranjith and his team, continuing to kill and always leaving a clue for the next victim. The team looks into a case that was closed years ago because they find a connection between what happened then and what's happening now. Arjun looks good as an honest police officer and is great in the action scenes. Varalaxmi and Prasanna have important roles as Ranjith's assistants and do well. Sruthi Hariharan and Arjun have a good connection, and she fits the role of a caring wife. Vaibhav's role is small. Suman and Suhasini appear at important points in the movie. The way the movie looks and the music make this fast-paced thriller even better. People who like thrillers will enjoy how the team figures things out, solves the mystery, and understands the killer's clues through mind games. The movie is worth watching for its suspenseful story, good family moments, the surprising identity of the killer, and how the team uncovers the mystery. Overall, Nibunan is a good suspense thriller.
