NGK is the Telugu-dubbed version of the Tamil film of the same name. Nandha Gopalan Kumaran (Suriya) is an educated young man with an MTech and PhD. He leaves his high-paying job to focus on organic farming and social work. He lives happily with his wife, Geetha (Sai Pallavi), and parents in his hometown, Srivilliputhur. He is pretty popular among the local youth for his selfless service. At one point, NGK is pressured by local issues and influenced by opposition leader Bala Singh (Bala Singh). These aspects make him enter politics and serve society. He joins a political party and works under MLA Pandian (Ilavarasu). He learns the various elements of the corrupt system. NGK’s intelligence and charisma help him gain popularity quickly. However, he faces a lot of trouble from cunning politicians. NGK works with PR strategist Vanathi (Rakul Preet Singh) to climb the political ladder, leading to a strained relationship with Geetha. As NGK succeeds, he faces betrayal and a plot against his family. Using his intelligence, he turns the situation to his advantage. He fakes a tragedy to gain public sympathy. NGK defeats his rivals, achieves political success, and brings about a socio-political revolution. In the end, does he reconcile with Geetha? Does he continue his mission to reform society?
