Miral starts with Rama (Vani Bhojan) experiencing a nightmare, a stranger trying to murder her family. Rama and Hari (Bharath) are a married couple who lately feel something disturbing their peace. In order to overcome the disturbed phase of life, they decide to visit Rama’s hometown temple. They strongly believe that it could bring them some relief. The couple and their family undertake the journey, visit the temple, and perform the rituals. They are quite convinced that all their problems will be solved. The same night, they choose to return home. On their way back, they encounter a masked stranger who messes with them. He damages their vehicle and threatens he will kill the whole family. Who is that stranger? Why is he threatening them? What happens to Hari’s family? Will they get out of this trouble alive? The rest of the movie covers the answers. The movie sports some decent jump scares in the first half. However, the second half is more of a drama and emotional. Bharath and Vani Bhojan had done a commendable job of doing justice to their characters. KS Ravikumar plays the father of Vani Bhojan. He engages the audience a little. Meera Krishnan and Kavya Arivumani are the other actors in the film. Miral starts as a slasher movie but deviates in the middle towards drama. Overall, the film is scary in parts and can be watched with family.
