Ramadapally is a small town situated in the coastal area. Ahammadali Sulaiman, is a respected member of the community from the town and he gets ready for the Hajj pilgrimage. His Christian wife, Roselyn, supports him in this journey. Their peaceful life turns stressful when the police arrest Ali on charges of Terrorist and Disruptive Activities. This happens during a land dispute between his friend Aboobacker and a controversial harbour project. Things get worse as Ali becomes caught up in a dangerous power struggle involving Freddy, a young man pushed into violence, and David Christudas, Roselyn's brother, who feels angry with Ali despite their past friendship. The story 'Malik' includes flashbacks showing how Muslims and Christians once lived in harmony in Ramadapally, but that peace gets broken by betrayal and violence.
