Parvathy is an architect who comes to a village in Kerala for a project to avoid marriage. She finds the entire village painted with a fairy-tale story she had heard long ago as a child from Aunt Mary. With the help of a friend, she rented an apartment filled with art. She learns it belongs to Maara, who has painted across the village. Maara is a lone wolf and traveller who keeps exploring new places and is always away from home. When she started to clean the house, she found Maara's photo and a sketchbook. The sketches depict the previous New Year's Eve, where Maara, along with a friend, plans to rob, and they see a lady trying to kill herself. That was the last sketch in the book. Parvathy starts finding people from the sketchbook. In that process, she lands in a village where she not only finds that lady from the sketchbook but also a hopeless romantic man, Vellaiya, a retired postmaster who, even after fifty years, is still looking for his teenage love, Meenakshi. He got separated from her when floods hit their village. Out of curiosity, Parvathy asked for Meenakshi’s picture; to her surprise, she had seen the same pendant worn by Meenakshi with her aunt as well. When a fairy tale comes to life, magical doors open. Were Parvathy’s aunt and Meenakshi the same person? Did Parvathy meet Mara? Did Parvathy find out what had happened on New Year’s Eve? To know more… watch Maara!
