Radhakrishnan (played by Vijay Sethupathi) is a good middle-aged man. He lives happily with his wife, Savithri (played by Gayathrie), and their two children. He drives an auto for a living. One night, he tells his daughter a story from his past as a bedtime story. In that story, his friend Ismail (played by Guru Somasundaram) is an important person. At one point, Radhakrishnan starts working with a builder named Madhavan (played by Shaji). He does this to earn more money so he can send his children to a private school. But Madhavan tricks him and runs away, leaving Radhakrishnan in trouble. Radhakrishnan faces the anger of the people in his village and is hurt by the police. The rest of the story is about what happens after this and how Radhakrishnan deals with these problems. In one part, Radhakrishnan goes to Kerala. He finds a job there, makes friends, and even finds people who feel like family. The best things about the movie Maamanithan are the strong acting by the actors, the great story that keeps moving well, and the real-life moments that are shown beautifully. The music in the background is also very good and fits well with the story. Maamanithan is special because the director tries to show a positive outlook, even when things are difficult. It's a great movie to watch with your friends and family.
