LKG is the Telugu-dubbed version of the Tamil movie of the same name. Lalgudi Karuppiah Gandhi (RJ Balaji) is a small-time councillor in Lalgudi, Tamil Nadu. He aspires to wield significant political influence. Known as LKG, he’s a smooth talker who uses his intelligence to solve local issues, like fixing roads or settling disputes. After a video of him outsmarting a corrupt official goes viral, LKG catches the eye of Bojappan, a cunning political strategist. Bojappan pushes LKG to run for MLA against the influential politicians. LKG, with no real experience, dives into the chaotic campaign backed by his loyal friend Ramar (Sathish). He uses social media stunts, fake tears, and quirky speeches to win crowds, guided by Bojappan’s dirty tricks, like staging a fake attack. LKG’s girlfriend Sarala (Priya Anand) supports him, but he struggles with lies and guilt. As polls near, LKG learns Bojappan works for Ramraj, using him to split votes. Betrayed, LKG fights back, exposing Ramraj’s scams with proof from a whistleblower. Does LKG win the elections? What kind of tricks and methods does he employ to win the hearts of the public? What does politics teach him? To know the answers for these questions, watch LKG.
