The story of Lilly Rani revolves around a sex worker and her difficulties. Rani (Chaya Singh) is a sex worker. She lives with her child, who has bone marrow cancer. She decides to find the child's father. She thinks one of two men could be the father. One is Sambavamoorthi (Thambi Ramaiah), an old policeman. The other is Dushyanth Jayaprakash (Michael), who is the son of a powerful politician, Minister Arputham (Jayaprakash). Rani approaches them and asks them for help to solve the puzzle. Do they cooperate with her and answer her? The crux of the film is what happens in her quest and whether she finds her child's father. The story is interesting. It talks about the hard life of a sex worker. The director wanted to make an emotional drama and then a thriller. Thambi Ramaiah and Chaya Singh have delivered decent performances. The scenes in which they share the screen space are interesting. Michael's part is too little, but he plays his part convincingly. Jayaprakash enters the story in the end. He has not much to do, of course. The story is a little complex. It tries to show the problems a sex worker faces. The acting is good in some places. The film is engaging in parts. The concept of a mother trying to save her child is powerful. Overall, Lilly Rani is a decent watch.
