Kurangu Pedal is a movie about some children in a village who want to learn how to ride a bicycle. In their village, Katheri, which is near Salem, having a bicycle is a special thing. There's only one shop where you can rent them, and a man called Military (played by Prasanna Balachander) owns it. Mariappan is a young boy who rents a bicycle without his father's (Kali Venkat) knowing. He wants to show off to his friends. He also has other reasons for wanting to ride. When Mariappan's father finds out, he gets very angry. He doesn't know how to ride a bicycle himself, and this causes an argument. Things get a little out of hand. The movie shows how Mariappan tries to make things right. What's the intention behind Mariappan's stubborn nature to ride a bicycle? Does he face any trouble along the process? The answers to these questions are told in a funny way. The movie does a good job of showing how innocent children are. The kids show emotions very well. Kaali Venkat and Santhosh Velmurugan are good actors, and their acting feels natural. Prasanna Balachander is funny in the second part of the movie. There aren't any important roles for women in this story. It's a movie that might make you remember your own childhood. It's simple and makes you feel warm inside. Overall, Kurangu Pedal is a nice movie for the whole family to watch.
