A young boy wants something his family cannot afford. His grandfather wants to make his wish come true. This is the crux of Kida. Chellaiya (Poo Ramu) is an old man living in a village. His grandson, Kathir, wants a new dress for Deepavali. Chellaiya tries his best to get money to buy the dress. However, he could not make it. So, he decides to sell the goat Kathir raises as a pet. Kathir loves the goat a lot. Vellachamy (Kaali Venkat), a butcher, wants to buy the goat. He needs money to start a new business. At the same time, a young couple wants to escape. On another track, a few lousy guys are stealing goats. All these stories come together. The movie is easy to understand. Sometimes, you can guess what will happen. But the director, Ra Venkat, keeps the viewers interested. The family's problems feel real. The ending is exciting. Poo Ramu, who plays Chellaiya, acts very well. Kaali Venkat plays Vellachamy. As usual, his acting is realistic. The movie shows how life is hard for poor people. It also shows how people can be kind. The movie is about family, dreams, and kindness. It is a simple story, but it is executed well. The actors make the characters feel real. The ending is happy, and it makes you feel good. Overall, Kida is a pleasant watch with family and friends.
