Jiivi is the Telugu-dubbed version of a Tamil film of the same name. Saravanan (Vetri) is a clever but jobless young man in Chennai. He lives with his friend Mani (Karunakaran) in a small rented house. Struggling to pay rent, Saravanan notices his landlady’s brother, Sivanesan (Mime Gopi), a shady jeweller hiding cash and gold. A desperate Saravanan plans to steal it. He partners with Mani, who’s hesitant but joins for the money. They break into Sivanesan’s house, grab the loot, and escape, thinking they’re free. But Sivanesan, a ruthless crook, tracks them down, suspecting Saravanan. Meanwhile, Saravanan’s girlfriend, Anjali (Monica Chinnakotla), senses his stress but stays loyal. Strange events unfold—Saravanan sees patterns, like numbers and dates, linking his life to a book he read about a man who escaped death by chance. He believes his actions follow a cosmic loop, pushing him to outsmart fate. Sivanesan’s goons chase Saravanan and Mani through Chennai’s gritty streets, leading to tense hideouts and narrow escapes. Saravanan’s overthinking unravels a twist: the loot is tied to a bigger crime, and Sivanesan’s boss, Rohini, wants it back. Using his wits, Saravanan sets a trap, pitting Sivanesan against his boss. To know how Saravanan handles the problems and returns to normal life, watch the film Jiiva.
