I Saw the Devil is the Tamil-dubbed version of a South Korean action thriller. The film starts with Joo-yeon talking to her fiancé in her car. Soo-hyeon, her fiancé, works for the government. Her car has a flat tyre. A man, Kyung-Chul, comes up and offers to help. Joo-Yeon refuses help. She states that she is waiting for a tow truck. But the man does not leave. This part of the movie makes viewers scared. Kyung-Chul hurts Joo-yeon and forces her out of the car. Then, he takes her to his house and kills her. He throws pieces of her body into a drain. Later, the police find her body parts in a river. Joo-yeon's father, who is the head of the police, gives Soo-hyeon a list of people they think might have done it. Soo-hyeon wants to get even with the killer. He finds Kyung-Chul. Instead of arresting him, he decides to make him suffer. Soo-hyeon beats Kyung-Chul but doesn't kill him. He puts a tracker on him and lets him go. This starts a dangerous game. They hunt each other. The roles of hunter and hunted keep changing. No one around them is safe. The movie is very good because of the two main actors. Lee Byung-hun plays Soo-Hyeon, a man full of anger and grief. He shows the pain very well. Choi Min-sik, who plays Kyung-Chul, is excellent. He perfectly shows how a psychopath acts. Just by looking at him, you know something is wrong. He does this with very simple actions. Overall, I Saw the Devil is an excellent watch!
