Mohamad Shereif (Vignesh Karthick) wants to make movies. He tells four strong stories to a producer. Each story examines a significant aspect of society. In “Happy Married Life,” Vijay (Adithya Bhaskar) and Dhanya (Gouri G. Kishan) are planning their wedding. But Vijay imagines a world where men and women have different roles in marriage. This amusing story illustrates the unfairness of life. “Golden Rules” is about Deepti (Ammu Abhirami) and her boyfriend Sidharth (Sandy). They question the usual rules about relationships and what people choose for themselves. “Thakkali Chutney” is about Anitha (Janani Iyer) and Vetri (Subash). Vetri loses his job and starts working as a male prostitute to live. The story uses humour to look at love, desire, and how society treats men and women differently. The last story, “Fame Game,” is about Ezhumalai (Kalaiyarasan) and Lakshmi (Sofia). They are parents who push their children to be on a reality show to get money. This story illustrates how children can be exploited negatively. As Shereif tells these stories, the producer starts to feel uncomfortable. He feels that the stories are about his unfair ideas and the things that make him angry. The movie tells these stories to prompt people to think about topics that are often not discussed, such as child marriage, the roles of men and women, and how the media can exploit people. Overall, Hotspot is a good movie.
