Prasad and Sreeja fall in love in a series of meetings with each other and get married, going against their parents because they belong to different castes. They start their newlywed life, living separately away from their families. Once, while they are travelling by bus, Sreeja’s nuptial chain gets robbed by a petty thief. When Sreeja looks behind to check, the thief swallows her chain. Sreeja notices this, and with the help of co-passengers, that thief is beaten up and handed over to the Police. The story moves to the Police station from then on. The name of that thief is also Prasad, played by Fahad Fasil. Thief Prasad informs the Police that he works at a hotel in Mangalore and constantly denies saying he hasn’t robbed the chain as complained by Sreeja and Prasad. Prasad and Sreeja informed the Police that they were travelling to sell the chain and invest the money into harvesting tobacco in their fields. ASI Chandran from the station tells the couple Sreeja and Prasad that their case seems very weak due to a lack of supporting evidence and assures them by giving them an agreeable solution. He tells them that thief Prasad will be held at the station overnight and once the chain he swallowed is out from his stomach, it will be handed over to the couple.
