Derick Abraham is the Telugu-dubbed version of the Malayalam film Abrahaminte Santhathikal. ASP Derick Abraham (Mammootty) is a committed and passionate police officer. He is investigating a series of nine murders. He identifies the killer as Simon, a Christian extremist who targets atheists. After capturing Simon, Derick finds him dead, and it's ruled a suicide. This leads to Derick being suspended from his job. When he's brought back to work later, Derick faces a tough personal problem. His younger brother, Philip Abraham (Anson Paul), who is training to be a sharpshooter, is accused of killing his girlfriend, Aleena (Tarushi), while he was drunk. Philip says he's innocent and was framed, but all the evidence points to him. Derick is caught between his duty as a police officer and his loyalty to his family. He arrests Philip, which leads to a major confrontation between them. Philip starts to hate Derick in prison. Derick struggles with guilt and drinks heavily. He continues to investigate and finds out that Philip's friend Nisam said Philip was with friends Arun and Salman the night Aleena died. They answered her call and accidentally killed her. Nisam's sudden suicide and Philip's escape from prison make things more complicated. Philip escapes with the help of the jail warden, Dinesh, and Derick's senior, Narayana, who both have grudges against Derick. Philip tries to kill Derick but doesn't succeed.
