The plot of Cristina Kathirvelan is set in a village near Kumbakonam. Kathirvelan (Kaushik Ram) is a simple young man who falls in love with his college classmate Cristina (Pratibha). Cristina’s relatives are furious and the local police get involved. Kathirvelan tries to find a way to clear his name while dealing with his actual feelings for Cristina. At the same time, Cristina faces heavy pressure from her community and family to explain the certificate. The movie focuses on how the two students fight against a corrupt system to prove the truth.
