Boat takes place in Chennai (then called Madras) in 1943 when the Japanese were bombing the city. Ten people escape by sea in a small boat. These people are very different from each other. There's a father with his daughter, a pregnant mother with her son, and a man the British think is a terrorist. To stay alive, they all have to help each other. They face dangers like their boat possibly sinking and attacks from sharks. The movie starts in an interesting way. The story has some exciting parts, with many different people and a dramatic situation. The movie shows British officers and an Indian freedom fighter in a basic way. There are some funny scenes, and one mention of something from pop culture is funny. The movie makes you wonder which of the people on the boat is the terrorist. But when you find out who it is, it's a surprise. There are too many subplots used to keep the movie going. The actors are good and try their best in their roles. They help to keep the movie interesting. The main actors are Yogi Babu, MS Baskar, Kulappulli Leela, Chaams, Gauri G Kishan, and Madhumitha. Overall, Boat is a decent watch you can enjoy with your family.
