“Adhurs” is an action-comedy film that follows the story of Narasimha and Chari, twin brothers who get separated at birth. A nurse and an older woman do something complicated. They switch a dead baby with one of a mother’s twins (Chari) without her knowing. The older woman believes this will help the mother, who is having a hard time and is all alone. They think it will improve things for both families as the other family can't lose a child again. They grow up in very different homes. Narasimha becomes a police officer. Chari is raised by a priest named Bhattacharya also known as Bhattu, who has financial struggles. In the course of time, Bhattacharya finds Chandrakala, a woman he wants to impress. One night, at a pub, Bhattacharya tries to win over Chandrakala, but things go wrong when Narasimha steps in during a gang fight. This gets Chandrakala's attention instead. Later, Narasimha is kidnapped by criminals who want him to make a weapon, but he manages to escape. Everything after that leads to a point where Chari is asked to pretend to be his brother at an engagement ceremony so that he can make some money. This decision leads to a chain of events that change their entire reality. Does the story they share bring them closer and push them apart?
